Is the Battery Report Always Reliable After a Replacement?

I took my laptop to a service center, and they told me they replaced the battery. However, when I checked the battery report, it shows history that dates back to when the laptop was manufactured. Can anyone tell me if the battery report is always accurate?

Keep in mind that the Windows battery report is tied to your Windows installation. It won't reset even if you put in a new battery. So, if you want to verify your battery's replacement, check the charge cycles; a new battery should have very few.

The battery report usually shows the number of charge cycles, so if your new battery has a low number, that could confirm it's new. If it's showing a history from the original manufacture, it might not be reflecting the true state of your battery post-replacement.
