I'm curious if the Core Ultra 225F priced at $179 is a better deal for performance compared to AMD's options. Does anyone know if AMD has a comparable CPU offering, especially regarding price-to-performance?

I wouldn't recommend it. The performance is pretty lackluster, and it's basically a dead platform. The new 3xx Ultra will use a different socket, so expect limited support in the future.
You should probably look at the 9600X or 7600X instead. They're solid alternatives that offer better value. Plus, there's a helpful video if you want to check out some benchmarks!
