Is the i7-6700 and RX 6600 XT Combo Still Worth Buying in 2026?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a prebuilt desktop since my parents prefer that I don't build one myself. I found a deal in Italy for a setup that includes an Intel Core i7-6700 CPU, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 2 TB SSD, all housed in a Dell Optiplex 7050 MT case. I plan to add a used AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT to it. My monitor will be a 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The total cost of this setup is around €420-€430. I mostly play games at 1080p (but I'm okay with lower resolutions), and I'm particularly interested in titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, and God of War Ragnarok, along with some lighter games like Devil May Cry 5 and Watch Dogs 2. Given that this is a budget build, I don't expect to play on max settings or at super high FPS. I can even tolerate 30 FPS for the more demanding AAA titles. I have a couple of questions: Is this prebuilt with the RX 6600 XT still a good buy in 2026 for my gaming needs? Will the i7-6700 bottleneck the RX 6600 XT too much in modern AAA games? Lastly, do you have any recommendations for better prebuilt options around the same budget in the EU/Italy?

You might want to reconsider that setup. In my experience, the i7-6700 with 32GB of RAM isn't worth €250 anymore, especially since it will struggle with many newer titles. The RX 6600 XT isn’t even worth about €180 in today's market either, particularly with how fast technology is evolving.

Shipping costs in Italy can be high, so that’s something to factor in too.
