Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a new prebuilt gaming PC which comes with a two-year warranty, and the price is really attractive. Here are the main specs: it has an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU with 16GB, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The PSU included is an IG-MAX IG7700L Goliath rated at 700W, but I'm not familiar with this brand and I'm a bit worried about the power supply. To give you some details, it's an 80 Plus White, non-modular with active PFC, and a single +12V rail. It only has limited PCIe connectors—just one 6+2 pin. My main concerns are: Is this PSU safe and reliable for my setup? Should I trust it long-term or replace it right away? Considering the overall price is great, would it be worth buying and upgrading the PSU later? I'd love to hear your thoughts or experiences with IG-MAX or similar budget PSUs! Thanks!

The IG-MAX IG7700L Goliath is not a great choice. While it's marketed as a 700W PSU, it reportedly delivers only about 336 watts on the 12V rail, which is quite poor, especially for a gaming rig. You should definitely plan on replacing it sooner rather than later if you decide to go with this build. If the cost of replacing the PSU alongside the purchase of the prebuilt is still lower than custom-building a PC, then you might still be in a good spot, but don’t compromise on power supply quality!
From what I've read, the IG-MAX IG7700L Goliath isn't highly regarded. It's often seen as a low-quality PSU that's not meant for demanding setups like yours, especially with the Radeon GPU. Many users report issues such as stuttering and low FPS in newer games due to the PSU’s inability to provide stable power. I'd be cautious and consider a replacement if you go ahead with this system.
Really helpful info! I’m going to check with the seller to see if they can substitute the PSU before I commit.

Thanks for the insight! I completely agree, the PSU seems like a red flag. Going for a reliable one will save you a lot of headaches down the road.
