I'm looking to build a gaming PC centered around the Microcenter 7600X3D bundle and would love some feedback on whether it's worth it for CPU-heavy gaming compared to the 7600X or 7700X. My budget is around $1200 for just the PC, and I mainly play strategy games like Civ, Victoria, and city builders like Cities Skylines. I aim for 1440p but I'm okay dropping to 1080p for newer titles since I don't play many AAA games. I believe the benchmarks show that the 7600X3D performs better for simulation games, and this bundle includes a better motherboard and more RAM. I'm also considering pairing it with a used 6800 XT for around $400-$450, but I could get a new 7700 XT for the same price too. Is the warranty and peace of mind of a new card worth the potential performance loss? Lastly, I chose the Fractal North case for its look and plan to use stock fans and a Peerless Assassin cooler. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider downgrading to a 7600X bundle and investing in a 9070 XT instead. It could help you stretch your budget while possibly delivering better performance. It's worth weighing your options!
If you're going for heavy gaming, especially with simulation titles, the 7600X3D is definitely the way to go. It offers superior performance in those types of games compared to the 7600X and 7700X. Just make sure your overall build can support it well!
Absolutely! I think the 7600X3D will give you the most longevity for your gaming needs.
That’s a good point! I’m just a bit torn on whether the 9070 XT with the 7600X would outperform the 7600X3D and 6800 XT combo.
