Hey everyone! I built my PC about 3-4 months ago, and initially, it had that strong "new electric" smell. Even now, the smell has faded a bit but it's still noticeable and honestly pretty unpleasant. It gets worse when I start the computer, and even with the windows open, the odor lingers for hours. Is this normal? What can I do to make it go away? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Looks like you're experiencing the classic "new electronics" smell! It's actually pretty common as the materials in your PC heat up. The smell usually comes from lubricants and other substances needing some time to break in. You might want to run some benchmarking software like Cinebench to really stress test your CPU and GPU. This should help speed up the "breaking in" process and reduce the odor faster! I built mine a while back and still catch a whiff during heavy loads, but it isn’t as strong anymore. Just hang in there!
Thanks for clarifying! So it's not necessarily a problem with my components?
