Is the Newegg AM5 Motherboard Deal with Free Corsair DDR5 Memory Worth It?

Hey everyone! I noticed that Newegg has several deals on AM5 motherboards that come with free Corsair DDR5 memory. When I compare the prices separately, it seems like I could either go for a solid mid-range B650/B850 setup or snag a higher-end X870 for around the same price, which includes the memory. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on whether it's better to go with the X870 option or stick to the other choices. What do you think?

Great info! I've been comparing the specs, and since I mainly play less demanding games, I don't see myself needing the extra features of the X870. Saving some money on the B series makes more sense for my build. Plus, the Corsair memory is a nice bonus!

That’s a solid point! If I recall correctly, the X870 does have better overall specs for those who want to push the limits, but for most users, B650 or B850 is totally adequate, especially given your GPU and current usage. Just keep an eye on what you really need!

Honestly, it depends on what you need the board for. The X870 has some benefits like USB 4 support, but if you’re not planning on using a lot of additional ports or future-proofing your build, the B850 could do just fine. This might save you some money without compromising performance for your current setup. Also, the extra PCIe slots can be useful if you ever decide to expand.

I think the B850 would be a better option when you're looking at those price points. If you can find a decent deal, you might save some cash while still getting solid performance. Just make sure it meets your needs for future upgrades too!
