I'm planning to upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600X to a Ryzen 9 5950X since the price is attractive and I prefer to stay with the AM4 socket rather than switching to AM5. I use my rig for both gaming and professional tasks like compiling and video editing. In the past, I've had negative experiences with AIO coolers due to issues like heat, condensation, and leaks, so I'm sticking with air cooling for the foreseeable future. My question is whether my NH-D15S cooler is sufficient for the 5950X and if it's worth considering undervolting to manage heat better.

I've got an NH-D15 paired with a 5900X, and it's handled everything I've thrown at it without any issues, even when the CPU is overclocked and pushing 180W. So, the D15S should definitely be up for the challenge with a 5950X too!

That's great to hear! What kind of temperatures are you seeing while under load?
