Is the RTX 3060 12GB a good choice for 1080p gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to upgrade my GPU and wanted to get your opinions. Here are my current specs: I've got a Ryzen 5 3600 processor with a B550 ASUS TUF Gaming motherboard, and 32GB of RAM. My power supply is a 1st Player SteamPunk Gold +80 650W. I'm specifically looking for a GPU that can handle 1080p gaming since I don't plan on upgrading to a 1440p or 4K monitor any time soon. Do you all think a 3060 with 12GB of VRAM would be sufficient for me, and can I expect it to last for 2-3 years?

Absolutely, a 3060 12GB would be a solid choice for your needs! It handles 1080p gaming well, especially with DLSS support, though you might need to dial back settings in some newer games to stay in the high/ultra range. Just keep an eye on the prices since sometimes alternatives can be better value, like a 9060 XT if you're open to that!

Will it be able to do well on high/ultra settings at 1080p though?
