Is the RTX 3080 the best GPU to pair with a Ryzen 5 5600X?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X paired with an RTX 3080 for gaming at 1440p. I'm considering whether it's worth upgrading my GPU or CPU (within the AM4 socket), or if I should just wait for the market to improve before going all-in on an AM5 setup. Alternatively, should I just enjoy my current setup and save for an OLED monitor instead?

I recently upgraded to a 4070 Ti with my 5600X, but it started bottlenecking in some UE5 titles even at a higher resolution like 3440x1440. So, definitely consider your gaming needs and resolution.

A 5070 Ti is only about 50% faster than what you have right now, and it comes with a hefty price tag. I'd stick with your 3080 and enjoy what you have; it’s a solid build!

Totally agree! I think I'll keep the 3080 for a while. Planning to save up for an OLED monitor instead.

Honestly, it really comes down to your resolution. The 5070 is the highest I’d think about, but it might not be worth it unless you're pushing higher than 1440p and notice significant performance drops.
