I'm looking to build a new PC and I'm considering using an RX 9070 non-XT. I noticed there are a lot of RTX 3090 cards on eBay for about $500. Do you think it's worth spending an extra $100 for the RX 9070?

Definitely choose the RX 9070. The 3090 is getting pretty old and the newer cards still perform as well, if not better, while being more efficient.
Yeah, the performance for the price just isn’t worth it with the 3090 anymore.
If the 3090 is used, that warranty could be a dealbreaker. The RX 9070 is just a more reliable choice since it’s more up-to-date. Otherwise, you may be paying for an old card with no support.
Honestly, I'd go for the RX 9070! It's a newer card and will receive better driver support for upcoming games. Plus, the power consumption is lower, and you get a manufacturer warranty, which you won’t have with that used 3090. It’s just better to invest in the newer tech!
Totally agree, newer tech is definitely the way to go.
Exactly! Plus, the RX 9070 handles things like ray tracing better than the 3090.
Keep in mind, you can find newer options like the 4070 Ti, which performs similarly to the 3090 but is more efficient and supports newer technologies like frame generation. Just something to consider when choosing!
Exactly! Better to invest in something that will last longer.
Totally! The tech keeps getting better; gotta keep up!
Right? And it’s only a bit more expensive for a much better investment!
