Is the RTX 5050 a Good Choice for an Upgrade?

I'm planning to upgrade my current setup since my RX 570 has been crashing a lot due to potential chip or VRAM issues, and my RX 5700 has similar problems. I'm expecting to get my RX 5700 fixed, but I'm planning to sell it afterwards because it's getting old, and my RX 570 isn't worth repairing anymore. I live in a country where GPU prices are really high due to currency issues, so I'm on a tight budget. I initially wanted to get an RX 6700 XT, but it's either out of stock or priced way too high for a used one. The next option was the RX 6650 XT, which is new and comes with a warranty. However, for a bit more, I can also get the RTX 5050. Generally, I'm not a fan of Nvidia's 50 series, but I've heard the new 5000 series has incredible features and will be supported for a long time, unlike AMD's approach with their 5000 and 6000 series. Do you think the RTX 5050 is worth it?

Yeah, I just checked pricing over here, and it's almost $200 more for the RTX 5050! That's just wild! But keep in mind, every little bit counts, especially with currency rates messing things up.

A lot of people aren't impressed with the RTX 5050 because for just a bit more, you can grab an RX 9060 XT 8 GB, which tends to perform better. In the US, the RTX 5050 goes for around $250, while the RX 9060 XT can be found for about $270. Depending on where you are, it might be worth looking into that alternative instead.
