Is the RTX 5070 with 12GB VRAM a Good Upgrade from My RTX 3060?

Hey everyone! I'm currently using an RTX 3060 with 8GB of VRAM and I'm wondering if upgrading to an RTX 5070 with 12GB of VRAM would be a significant improvement. I've read that the 5070 can handle 4K gaming, but right now I'm limited to 1080p. I'd appreciate any advice on whether this upgrade is worth it or if there are better options out there!

Consider going for an AMD 9060XT with 16GB of VRAM instead. It might perform better for 1440p gaming than the 5070 would at 4K. Plus, a good 1440p monitor will really enhance your gaming experience! You can usually get both for under $600 combined.

Interesting! I've never heard of the 9070XT costing less than the 5070. Are you sure? That sounds like a sweet deal!

What about compatibility? If I switch to the 9060XT, would I need to upgrade anything else? My current monitor can't do 4K, but I play games like Stalker a lot and want to boost my settings.

If you're looking for performance, the RTX 5070 is a good choice! I have one and I'm running almost everything maxed out at 1440p. For me, it's a solid upgrade.
