Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade from my RTX 3070 since the 8GB VRAM isn't cutting it for modern games anymore. I really want to play games like Battlefield 6 and the upcoming Mafia game at 1440p with high refresh rates. I'm currently checking out the RTX 5070 Ti for €830 and the RTX 5080 for €1150. I'm also weighing my options with the 7900 XTX at €870 and the 9070 XT at €750. My main question is whether the RTX 5080 justifies the €300 price difference, or if I should consider AMD GPUs for better gaming performance. I've never used Ray Tracing but I'm open to it if it enhances the visuals in some games. Looking for something that'll last me a few years, ideally with 16GB of VRAM. Any recommendations for a solid 1440p high-framerate gaming card? Thanks!

I think the RTX 5070 Ti is the better choice for you. The performance difference between it and the 5080 is minor—only about 5-10% faster, so it doesn't justify the higher price tag. Plus, both cards have 16GB VRAM, which is what you need for future-proofing.
