I currently have a pretty outdated GPU and I'm looking to upgrade without breaking the bank. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600, which isn't top of the line either. Would getting an RX 6700 XT be a good choice, and will it work well with my CPU? I'm hoping to stick to a budget of $300-$400 for the upgrade. Any recommendations?

The RX 6700 XT should work well with your setup, as long as you can find it at a good price. Just keep in mind that there are new GPUs like the RX 9060 series coming soon that might be worth waiting for if you can hold off a bit.
I’d say go for the 6700 XT and plan to upgrade your CPU later. Don’t stress too much about bottlenecking for now!
The 6750 XT is a solid choice given the price, but watch out—it can run hot during certain games, especially if you're into something like Civ VI or Cities Skylines. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic card with 12GB of VRAM!
You're on AM4, which gives you good options for upgrades in the future. I would recommend getting the 6750 XT if you can find one; it’s a good choice and you're okay for now with your current CPU.
Generally, a CPU won't bottleneck a GPU too much. Even though your CPU isn't the highest performing, as long as your power supply and motherboard support the RX 6700 XT, you should be fine. Just know you might not get the full performance out of the GPU.
But wouldn’t it be considered a weak CPU if it holds back the GPU to around 60% of its potential? If you're getting a new GPU, you don’t want it limited like that.
