Is the RX 7600 XT a Good GPU for Under $400?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since my old 5700 isn't cutting it anymore, especially with modern games pushing for ray tracing. I'm primarily gaming at 1080p, and while I'd like to stick with that for now, I want to make sure I'm future-proofing my setup a bit. The RX 7600 XT is currently priced under $400, which is my budget max. Would this card be a solid choice for me, or are there better alternatives I should consider?

Honestly, the RX 7600 XT feels a bit underwhelming for $400 right now. You can often find a used RTX 3080 around that price, and it’s significantly faster—about 54% better performance according to various benchmarks. If you're after solid gaming performance, it's worth looking into that option if you can find one.

Yes, I think the 7600 XT is a decent choice especially with its 16GB of VRAM, which is a big plus! If you can stretch your budget a little, consider the 7700 XT or the RTX 5060 Ti for ray tracing and some extra features. But if $400 is your hard limit, the 7600 XT is a solid pick for 1080p gaming.

I see what you mean about the options, but $400 is really the cap for me at the moment. The 7600 XT seems to be fitting my needs better for now.

You might also want to check out the used market for other cards. GPUs tend to hold up well, and you can find deals from reputable sellers. Beyond that, you could look at cards like the RX 6700 XT which might offer better performance but can be harder to find right now.

If you haven’t checked out the Intel ARK B580 yet, it might be worth looking into. It’s received some pretty solid reviews for 1080p gaming, plus they recently launched a video on it showing its performance. It could be a viable alternative at a reasonable price.

If you’re open to it, sometimes you can find a 3070 Ti or even an RTX 3080 for a steal in the used market. I generally prefer AMD, but in that price range, those might give you better bang for your buck compared to the current gen lower-end cards. Keep an eye out—it could really pay off!
