Is the RX 7900 XT an Overkill for My Build?

I'm putting together my first PC build and I found a used RX 7900 XT for $620, which is about the same price as a new RX 7800 XT in my country. I'm wondering whether the RX 7900 XT is overkill for the rest of my components. Here's what I have:
- GPU: RX 7900 XT Sapphire Nitro+
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700
- Motherboard: B650 Eagle AX
- Cooler: Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- RAM: Ares AZES 32GB (I have the option of 6000MHz 30CL or 6400MHz 32CL, not sure which is better)
- SSD: NVMe 2TB Lexar NM790
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow (with RGB fans)
- PSU: Be Quiet! 850W Pure Power 12M
- Fans: Either Deepcool RF120 or Corsair AF120 Elite (matching with the case).
Does the RX 7900 XT match well with my other components, or is it too much?

Honestly, it doesn't seem overkill based on your specs. A lot of it really depends on what you plan to do with the PC—like the types of games you want to play or if you'll use it for heavy workloads.

I think that GPU fits your specs nicely. You won't regret having a bit more power, especially for gaming down the line.

There's really no such thing as overkill if you're okay with spending a little extra. I recently upgraded an old spare PC with a better GPU and it made a huge difference. Just keep in mind that you can overkill things like water cooling or massive SSD storage, which may not be necessary.

Nah, your setup looks pretty balanced! The GPU should complement your system well, as long as your PSU can handle it. Just make sure everything is compatible, and you should be good to go!

If you’re just using it for something light like Roblox, then yeah, it might be a bit overkill. But for anything else, it looks solid!
