Hey everyone, I'm looking to build a new PC with a budget of around 1600€. I'm specifically considering the RX 9070 XT and comparing it with the RTX 5070 Ti. I already have a 2K ultrawide monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse set up. My main goal is to play some high-end VR games and modern AAA titles, hopefully at medium settings as we move into the next console generation. I have some OCD and concentration issues, so I hope that explains if my questions seem a bit scattered. Any insights on whether the RX 9070 XT is reasonably priced right now would be greatly appreciated!

Just a heads up, I’ve heard from others who got the RX 9070 XT that they wish they had gone with the 5070 Ti instead. Some say they don't really perform as close as advertised.
If you can grab the RX 9070 XT for more than 10% less than the 5070 Ti, it's worth considering. Just make sure to check current prices as they can fluctuate.
Definitely! Now it's just about finding the right build for you.
Honestly, something like the 4070 or 4070 Ti would work just fine too. You don’t really need to overspend on the GPU. I’ve got an ASUS Pro Art 4070 Ti with 12GB, and I hardly use more than 7GB. A 4070 can handle 1440p without breaking a sweat. I’d suggest waiting a bit for prices to stabilize before making a big purchase.
I worry about older GPUs not being future-proof though, especially with software demands.
Yes, the RX 9070 XT is pretty comparable to the 5070 Ti, especially for traditional gaming. However, Nvidia tends to have a bit of an edge when it comes to ray tracing and frame generation. Whether that matters to you is a personal choice, so think about what you'll be using it for!
True, but I'd keep an eye on the price gap between the two. If the RX 9070 XT is significantly cheaper, that might sway your decision.
It really depends on your previous GPU too. If you're upgrading from an older model, the jump will be massive no matter which one you choose.
