I'm building a gaming PC with a strict budget of $650. I'm considering using a Ryzen 5 5500 processor paired with an RX 7600 graphics card. Is that a solid choice, or should I look for something better, even though I can't seem to find any alternatives within my budget?

That combo is totally fine for 1080p gaming at high/ultra settings! Just make sure you get 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM to really boost performance. You'll be happy with it!

For sure! I started with 8GB of RAM and it was okay, but I plan to grab another stick later for 16GB total. Definitely makes a difference.

'Okay' could mean different things. It'll work, but it might not be as fast as other setups. If those are your best options within the budget, you might have to stick with them. Sometimes tough choices need to be made!

Yeah, I was eyeing a 4060 but it's out of stock everywhere. Even the used market for a 3070 seems risky, so I understand the struggle!
