Is the Ryzen 5 5600G Good for Gaming on Linux?

Hey everyone! I recently got a new setup with a Ryzen 5 5600G, 16GB of RAM, but I'm rolling without a dedicated GPU. I've been considering switching to Linux to avoid the hefty Windows costs, but I've had a rough experience with Linux in the past on older hardware. Back then, my i3 3210 could run GTA V decently on Windows, but struggled with games like Left 4 Dead 2 after switching to Linux. So, I'm curious: is the Ryzen 5 5600G a good choice for gaming on Linux? What kind of performance can I expect from it?

I think you’ll be fine with the Ryzen 5 5600G for gaming on Linux! It should deliver performance similar to a Steam Deck, which is pretty solid for that setup.

Close to a Steam Deck? That sounds promising! Are there particular games you'd recommend trying?

Just a tip: always state your Linux distro and any hardware specifics when you ask for help! It makes it a lot easier for folks to assist you.

Just throwing it out there, but if you reconsider, you can find legit Windows 11 keys pretty cheap online, like around $10-15. Just a thought!

True, I did see some decent prices after posting. But I'm still keen on giving Linux another go!
