Is the Ryzen 5 7400F and RX 9060 XT 16GB a solid combo for 1440p gaming?

I'm planning to use my Ryzen 5 7400F in a new build, but I'm wondering if it will limit the performance of the RX 9060 XT 16GB when gaming at 1440p. I read that the 7400F is only slightly slower than the 7500F, so I picked one up from AliExpress. Will it be a good match for gaming at this resolution?

The 7400F performs similarly to the 7500F, so you should be in good shape. Just keep an eye on cooling. If you get a decent cooler, like a Phantom Spirit, it’ll work perfectly!

I have a 5600X overclocked to 4.2GHz with a 6800XT, and I’m usually at 120 FPS on medium to high settings at 1440p without any CPU bottlenecking. You'll be just fine! If you notice high CPU usage, try lowering the graphics settings that are CPU-intensive, like shadows.

It really depends on your frame rate target. If you’re going for 60 FPS, you’re all set! You might need to tweak some settings or let some upscaling do the work, but the CPU shouldn't hold you back.

In my opinion, it's one of the best budget combos for 1440p right now! You'll get solid performance without breaking the bank.

Absolutely! The 7400F is on the lower end, but it should handle most recent games quite well at 1440p.
