Is the Ryzen 5 9600X good enough for an RTX 3060?

I'm upgrading my system to AM5 and I've already purchased most of my new parts. The only component I'm keeping from my old build is my RTX 3060, which I plan to use until I upgrade next month. I'm curious if the 9600X will be efficient enough for daily 1080p gaming, since I prioritize FPS over graphics quality. Will this combo work well?

Honestly, it's a fair question. The 9600X is pretty recent and the 3060 has been around for a bit, but they can still work well together, especially for casual gaming.

True! It's always good to ask before you upgrade.

More than enough! I think the 9600X is a solid choice for the 3060, especially for what you're prioritizing. You’ll get great performance without any issues.

The RTX 3060 should be fine with the Ryzen 5 9600X for 1080p gaming. While some might say it's not a perfect match, many users find it performs quite well together. If you're looking for FPS over quality, you should be good to go!

Exactly! I run a similar setup, and it handles 1080p gaming easily.
