I'm currently using an HP Z440 with a Xeon E5 2697 V4, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and an RTX 5070. I'm thinking of upgrading my setup with a Ryzen 5 9600X, a GB B650M Gaming Plus motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 6000 RAM for $340 after taxes. I've heard that the Ryzen 5 9600X isn't the best gaming CPU out there. My current CPU performs pretty well for its age, likely due to its 18 cores and 45MB cache, so I'm wondering if this upgrade is worthwhile since I'm on a tight budget.

Upgrading to the 9600X will definitely help with performance. Your current CPU is bottlenecking your GPU, so you'll notice improvements once you switch. Plus, that price for the bundle is solid!
How can I measure the bottleneck? I use MSI Afterburner and it rarely hits 80%.
