I'm looking to upgrade my PC's CPU and I'm considering the Ryzen 5600X. My current setup includes an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GPU, a Ryzen 7 2700X processor, 32GB of RAM, an MSI B450 TOMAHAWK motherboard, a 1TB SSD, and I'm using it for college work, streaming, and gaming. Recently, I've noticed my FPS drop to around 70-90 while playing Warzone and Battlefield, and I'm planning to upgrade my GPU next year. I can get the 5600X for $200, but I'd like to know if it's a smart choice before I commit, especially since I'm also considering my budget for future upgrades.

If you're getting it for around $125, that's definitely a steal! The Ryzen 5000 series, especially if you're planning to upgrade your GPU, will keep your performance strong. Just make sure your motherboard's BIOS is updated to handle it. The 5600X is a solid choice for what you're doing.

What about the 5800X instead? I've heard that could be better for CPU-heavy games.
