I'm trying to achieve a stable 144 FPS while playing Fortnite with my RTX 4060 and Ryzen 5700X setup at 1440p. I've been wondering if the CPU could be bottlenecking my performance. Any thoughts on whether the Ryzen 5700X is sufficient for gaming, specifically for Fortnite, or if I need to look at other components?

The 5700X should work fine, especially for single-player games at higher resolutions. As long as you’re not pushing super high frame rates in competitive games, it should be good!
You'll want to check the usage of all your components—CPU, GPU, RAM, and VRAM—to see what's being stressed during your gaming sessions. Running a tool like HWInfo64 can help you monitor this. Also, make sure your 4060 is at its best; the 8GB of VRAM might not be enough for 1440p gaming.
The 5700X is a bit older but still a solid choice for gaming. What kind of FPS are you getting right now? Also, try testing at a lower resolution like 720p to see if it changes anything.
The Ryzen 5700X should be plenty for gaming. If you're struggling at 1440p, it might be your RTX 4060 holding you back since it’s not the strongest card. The 8GB of VRAM could be an issue too, depending on how demanding Fortnite is at that resolution.
Yeah, I'm with you on that. The 4060 doesn’t quite cut it for stable performance at 1440p in many cases. Lowering your resolution to see if that helps could be a good move!
What resolution are you currently using? Knowing this can help diagnose if you need an upgrade or just to tweak some settings.
True, the 5700X isn't outdated in terms of performance compared to newer models like the 7700X. But it’s also good to test at a lower resolution as a benchmark.
