Hey everyone! I'm currently running an RTX 3060 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 5500 and 16GB of dual-channel 3200MHz RAM. I found a Ryzen 7 5700X3D for €180 on Facebook Marketplace and I'm wondering if that's a fair price and if it would be a solid upgrade for my system. What do you all think?

That’s a great price for the 5700X3D, and it's definitely a solid upgrade! I've got the same CPU, and it runs really well for 1440p and even 4K gaming, although I’m noticing a bit of bottlenecking with my GPU. If you're looking to future-proof a bit, this should serve you well!

Oh wow, that's encouraging! If I grab the CPU now, it'll help me hold out until I can upgrade my GPU later, right? The 3060 is working fine for now, so I’m in no rush. Thanks!

That price is pretty decent, and it’ll significantly improve your CPU performance! You can always look to upgrade your GPU later when you're ready.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll grab it and also get a new CPU cooler and PSU. Appreciate it!

In today's market, that's a solid deal! Just remember, though, if you're gaming, your GPU will limit performance somewhat. The 3060 Ti is good, but depending on your games it might hold you back a bit, especially at higher resolutions.

Got it! I mostly stick to 1080p gaming—do you think I need to consider upgrading my GPU soon?
