I recently got an RX 9060 XT with 16GB of memory, but I'm currently using a Ryzen 3 2200G CPU, and it's seriously holding back performance. I'm wondering if upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5800X would be a suitable match for my setup.

Yes, upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5800X would definitely be a substantial improvement. It'll help you fully utilize your RX 9060 XT's capabilities.

It really depends on the price you can get the 5800X for. I'd also recommend looking into the 5700X3D, and don't forget to check if your motherboard needs a BIOS update to support the new CPU.

The 5700X3D is slightly pricier, but it's worth considering for its additional performance.
