Hey everyone! My power supply unit (PSU) is starting to fail, and I need to replace it quickly. I'm considering getting the Seasonic Power Supply VERTEX1000G, which is a fully modular 1000W unit with an 80 Plus Gold rating. Currently, I'm using a High Power 850W PSU, which is an unknown brand, and it's become unstable—it's even started to smell burnt. I've heard good things about Seasonic, but I'm not familiar with this specific model. What do you think? Is it a solid choice?

It’s a decent option, but you might find better PSUs for less money depending on your location. You should definitely stop using that High Power PSU immediately! It’s really important to have a reliable power supply. Check out the SPL tier list for more options—it's super helpful!
The VERTEX1000G looks great according to tier lists! However, if you’re open to alternatives, the Corsair RM1000x is also a fantastic PSU and often cheaper. I’ve had a good experience with Corsair products overall.
Thanks for the heads-up! I appreciate the recommendation.
I can't find the Seasonic in stock for a reasonable price right now. Here’s a link to compare several other solid PSUs based on what wattage you're looking for: [PCPartPicker Link]. There are some good choices out there!

I'm in Quebec, and I’ve noticed that many PSUs are only available in the U.S., which makes it tough to choose. Thanks for the helpful info and I’ll be cautious with my current PSU!
