I'm facing an issue with my iPhone XR battery overheating during use and charging. It gets quite hot, and I'm wondering if Apple provides any free replacement options for this. What should I know?

It’s actually pretty common for batteries to heat up a bit. If your phone starts showing high temperature warnings or shuts down, Apple will do a diagnostic check and replace the battery if there's a legit issue. Just make sure it’s happening frequently enough to be considered a problem.
Don’t stress too much; usually, it’s not the battery causing the heat but rather the logic board. But if overheating is a constant issue, definitely talk to Apple support.
If your battery is under the limited warranty and it's faulty, you can get a free replacement. Also, if you're using Apple Care+ and your battery capacity drops below 80%, you might qualify for a free swap too, otherwise, there’s a service fee without Apple Care+. Just keep in mind that some battery heat is normal during charging and heavy use.
