I'm currently using Windows 10 but I'm planning to switch to Linux, probably Fedora, since I have a family member who can help me out. The problem is that I've got a ton of stuff—like screenshots, documents, and lists—in Microsoft OneNote, which I use on both my Windows PC and Android phone. I need to be able to access and update that info. Plus, I have years of photos on OneDrive, so I want to know if there's a reliable Linux backup client for OneDrive that I can use. What features should I be looking for? Or is there a better approach I should consider?

I use OneDrive via the web, but losing access to Excel and OneDrive was a concern for me when switching to Linux. I've been using LibreOffice for spreadsheets and it’s been a smooth transition. Plus, Dropbox has a Linux client if you're interested in testing alternatives.
Honestly, I've struggled with OneDrive on Linux too. I tried using rclone but had no luck with it either, which made me switch to a different cloud service entirely. Now, I'm using MegaSync, and it has a native Linux client that works great!
For syncing OneDrive on Linux, I recommend Insync. It's paid but worth it for the features. I’ve also tried rsync, which can mount your OneDrive like any other storage. It’s free and easy to set up, but handling thousands of files can be tricky.
You can actually access OneDrive and OneNote through a web browser, which is a bit clunky but does work. I used it for a while before moving my data to something more Linux-friendly. So, that could be an option until you find a better solution.
