I'm really frustrated with iOS 26. It has significantly slowed down my iPhone 14 and reduced my battery life, which is causing me a lot of headaches. I'm not a fan of the new glass icon interface either. Is there a way to downgrade to an earlier version?

I had a different experience with the update. My iPhone 14 Pro Max actually improved in battery life and overall speed after upgrading. Maybe it varies by device?
Just a heads up, new iOS upgrades can mess with battery life and performance for a couple of days, so it might be worth it to wait a bit. This happens practically every year with updates.
Have you tried waiting a bit? Sometimes it just takes time for everything to normalize after an update—it's been only three days. Also, try turning on 'Reduce Transparency' in settings; that might help a bit.
I'll definitely look into that! I'm just not very patient with these things.
If you're looking to downgrade, Apple is still signing a few versions of iOS 18, like 18.7. You can use DFU mode to reinstall those versions on your phone if you want to go back.
Thanks! I might give that a try. Is it complicated to put the phone into DFU mode?
Not too hard! Just make sure to follow a guide closely.
That’s frustrating, but good to know. I really hope it gets better soon.
