I recently cracked my phone screen, and now it's completely black, and there might not be any touch functionality either. However, I can tell it's still working because I can hear it vibrating when I press the power button. I really need to check my messages app for personal reasons, and aside from that, everything else is backed up. Is there any software I can download to display the screen on my PC? If the touch is still functional, I'd like to navigate that way to access the app. Just so you know, it's a Motorola G51.

If your screen is black, it might be tough because many of these tools require you to approve permissions on your phone first. Most options like Scrcpy need USB debugging enabled in developer mode. Without that, you might be out of luck. However, if your phone can connect via HDMI, you could use that to show your screen and navigate from there.
It's interesting how HDMI can display the screen but not USB software. I'd also recommend checking if there's a way to enable screen mirroring via a USB connection, though this can depend on the phone model. Unfortunately, compatibility varies a lot.
