I have a really old PC that has a lot of old pictures and files stored on it. I've visited several computer stores, but they all told me it's impossible to turn it back on. Is that really true, or are there still ways to recover my pictures from the hard drive or another component?

Just to clarify, CPUs don’t store data—it's the hard drives and other storage devices that do! So if you want to recover your pictures, focus on the hard drive. Think about taking it to a repair shop if you're unsure how to disconnect it yourself.
Definitely try connecting it to another PC! It’s often a simple process and can lead to recovering your lost files.
If the drive isn’t ancient, you might be in luck. It should be possible to remove the hard drive and either connect it to another computer or place it in a USB adapter. It's worth a shot!
You can actually recover your files! The age of the PC itself isn’t usually the issue—it’s more about the condition it’s in. If the hard drive is still working, you can take it out and connect it to a functioning computer, either directly or through a USB HDD reader. That way, you can pull off your old pictures pretty easily!
Yeah, I agree! Just remember, the hard drive is the key to your files, not the CPU.
Exactly! A PC repair place could help you out if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself.
