I'm planning to build a gaming PC and would appreciate some feedback on the parts and overall value. My main goal is achieving around 250 FPS at 1% lows in Counter-Strike 2 at 1080p using a 1280×960 resolution. The planned parts are a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB of Netac Z RGB DDR5-6000 memory, an MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi motherboard, a DeepCool AK620 Digital SE cooler, a be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W power supply, and either a Phanteks XT Pro Ultra or Montech AIR 903 Max case. The total comes to roughly $1,950. Is this a good deal, and are there any changes you would recommend?

The system should handle your target easily, and the 7800X3D is an excellent choice for high-refresh-rate CS2. However, a Radeon RX 9070 XT may offer better performance per dollar than the RTX 5070, so it’s worth comparing current prices before buying.
The RTX 5070 will still be more than capable for 250 FPS at those settings. A similar system can reach well over 600 FPS in some competitive matches, although actual 1% lows will depend on the map, player count, game settings, and background processes. The RX 9070 XT is mainly worth considering if it costs close to the 5070.
The price is fairly reasonable for today’s market, but the build list is missing an SSD. Make sure you budget for a decent 1TB or 2TB NVMe drive rather than choosing the cheapest possible option. You may also be able to save some money by comparing power-supply deals.
