I'm building a custom PC for my friend to help him ditch his cheap prebuilt system. I'm covering some costs, and I want to know if the parts I've selected are solid for his needs. He mostly games but is also going to do some light video editing—just clips recorded from his gameplay. Here's the part list I'm considering: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VWWz3w](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VWWz3w). Would love to get your thoughts!

Overall, it looks good! I'd recommend swapping the cooler for a Thermalright model since it's cheaper and performs well. Also, I'm curious about your SSD choices; why a 500GB Gen3 alongside a 2TB Gen4?
You could definitely save a bit on the CPU cooler and maybe reconsider the drives and fans you picked.
What’s your total budget for this build?
It's around $1500.
I wanted one for booting up and another for main storage—like games and stuff. After my last system wipe, I thought it’d be safer to separate them, just in case something goes wrong!
