Is This CPU, Motherboard, and RAM Combo a Good Upgrade?

I'm looking to upgrade my aging 9-year-old PC and found a bundle that caught my eye. I plan to reuse my existing 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but I've heard that it's rare for a motherboard to support both DDR4 and DDR5 without causing issues down the line. Given that RAM prices are through the roof, this bundle seems like a pretty solid deal right now. Here's what I'm considering:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- **Motherboard**: ASUS B650E-E TUF GAMING
- **RAM**: Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB DDR5-6000

All this for $650. My main goal is to play current games on ultra settings, while also being able to run newer titles at decent settings for a few years to come. So, are these components good for future-proofing my build? Are there any potential drawbacks, or is this a wise choice for the price? Besides gaming, I also do basic work on my PC, nothing overly intensive like machine learning. Looking forward to your insights!

This looks like a great deal overall! Just keep in mind that for long-term gaming performance, your GPU will really make the most difference, so ensure you don't shortchange yourself on that part. If you skimp on the graphics card, it can really limit your experience, especially with high-resolution settings. Just something to think about!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm planning to grab a 5000 series GPU, so hopefully that will keep me set for a while!

I’m thinking about getting this exact bundle too! Microcenter has some awesome deals right now. Just want to be sure the mobo is a solid pick; does anyone have experience with BIOS updates or anything that might be an issue with compatibility?

I'm curious too—any idea how long these deals typically last?
