I recently had my Xbox One die after about 10 years of use, and I'm thinking of switching to a compact gaming PC. My priorities are that it needs to be small enough to fit into my entertainment console, have enough power to run Elden Ring (which is the main game I play), and ideally cost around $500 to $600. I've put together a build on PC Part Picker using their Entry-Level Gaming setup but swapped out a few parts to fit my needs. I'm planning to connect it to my TV and start with the free version of Windows 11 to save some cash upfront. Does this build look like it meets my requirements, or have I missed anything crucial? I would love any advice since I'm more familiar with Macs than PCs.

The GPU you've chosen is pretty outdated and underpowered, especially for a game like Elden Ring. I recommend looking for a used GPU, like a 6700 XT, which would be much better for your needs.
You mentioned needing a compact build—what's the exact size of the space you have? The case you picked might not be the best fit. Also, why go for the WX 7100? It's more expensive than an RX 580, which is a solid choice. For Windows, there's no legal free version, so just a heads up on that!
The space is about 19" tall and 15" deep, so I think the case fits. I was just trying to find anything compatible that was reasonably priced. I thought the WX7100 could work since it meets some gaming specs. And I appreciate the heads up on Windows!
