I'm looking at a monitor for 4K gaming and wondering if this one will work well with my upcoming 5090 GPU. It's much cheaper than the OLED I was considering, and I'm curious if I can still get a great gaming experience without spending all that cash. Any thoughts?

If you have a 5090, why not get an OLED? It's a big investment for your build and would really pop with the right monitor. That said, some folks argue that a good VA panel might suffice, especially since OLEDs can be pricey and might have burn-in issues. Just make sure the monitor has a good resolution and decent specs!
Honestly, if you're spending that much on a GPU, why skimp out on the monitor? But if you're okay with a lower-tier display, I’d say keep looking! An IPS or a 1440p OLED might give a better experience without breaking the bank.
Exactly! If you're into flight sims like MSFS2024, the resolution is what really counts. So maybe it won't be so bad for your use case.
After considering everything, I'm going for the OLED, even at a higher price. Thanks to everyone for the convincing arguments!
VA panels can struggle with ghosting, especially in fast-paced games, so it's key to know what you're prioritizing. If you're mostly into flight simulation, then a 4K VA might just fulfill your needs without too many compromises. Just check the reviews for specific models to find one that handles that well!
Absolutely! For casual gaming like that, a high resolution could still make for a great experience.

I get it! VA panels can provide a solid 4K display, and if you're not gaming at super fast speeds, it might just be fine!
