I'm thinking about upgrading my PC, which is getting pretty old—it's got a 1060 6GB and an i7-7700, built over 7 years ago. I found a used PC for about $2,700 with some impressive specs: Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU, MSI GeForce RTX 5080 VENTUS 3X OC 16GB GPU, Asus PRIME-B650M-A-WIFI motherboard, 32GB Kingston FURY Renegade RAM, and a couple of fast SSDs. Does this sound like a good deal to you? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

The price is a bit steep, especially for used hardware. The 5080 typically sells above its $1000 MSRP, but it's often found for around $1400. There are some questionable choices here as well, like the bare-bones motherboard and only 32GB of RAM. Also, a 750W PSU seems a bit risky for the setup with the 5080. I’d recommend doing some more research on pricing before you decide.
It really depends on your use case. If you're mainly working with 2D and 3D modeling, this setup should handle it well. For gaming, though, you might not need all that power. Just make sure it's worth it for your specific needs!
Yeah, I do a bit of gaming, but work is my main focus. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the insights! I appreciate the heads-up about the PSU!
