I'm planning to build a new PC using an RTX 3060 with 12 GB of RAM and an Intel i5 12400F along with 32 GB of DDR5 memory. I could use some advice on whether this is a good setup for gaming and general use!

Just a heads up, there's no such thing as the i5 12400K—it's actually the 12400F you're looking for! That aside, your combo of the RTX 3060 and i5 will work well for 1080p gaming—just depends on what titles you're diving into.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm mostly into light games and competitive ones like GTA 5 and Apex Legends. Think this build will work for me?

This setup is pretty solid for entry-level gaming. Just keep in mind, if you're buying new parts, look around as there might be better options out there right now. But overall, it should handle most games quite decently!
