I'm not super experienced with PCs, but I'm looking to play Valorant with my friends. I found this setup on Facebook Marketplace and wanted to know if it could handle the game:
- Intel Core i7 4790K (Socket 1150 LGA)
- Asus Z97-Deluxe/USB 3.1
- DDR3 32GB RAM
- Cooler Master CPU Cooler
- AMD Radeon HD 7700 graphics card
- Samsung 970 Evo 500GB M.2 SSD
- WD 1TB Hard Drive

Honestly, this rig is almost e-waste. The only valuable components are the 500GB SSD, and maybe the CPU cooler. I wouldn’t waste your cash on this; better options are available if you look for something more modern.
It might be tough, but keep looking! You could find a used setup, just search wisely.
Actually, it should run Valorant just fine! My older setup with a similar CPU and an even older GPU managed around 150 FPS on medium settings at 1080p. So, there's hope!
It can run Valorant, but it’s not ideal since that GPU isn't great. What's your budget for a used gaming PC? And how much is this one going for? I’d suggest aiming for something with a better graphics card if possible.
My max is around $250, and this one is priced at $175. I think I should just look for a better GPU separately instead of settling for this one.
It should work temporarily since Valorant isn't super demanding. But keep in mind that the anti-cheat requires Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 on Windows 11. This older PC won't support TPM 2.0 because it doesn’t meet the newer standards. Windows 10 support will end soon too, so that’s a consideration!
The GPU in that build is pretty outdated—it's around 13 years old! Unless the price is below $100, I’d recommend steering clear. It’s worth at least Googling the individual parts to see their current value.
You really think I could find something decent for $250?
