I'm considering buying this used gaming PC for $842 USD, or roughly 1,280,000 IQD, and I'd like to know whether it is fairly priced in Iraq in 2026. The system includes a Ryzen 7 5800X, PNY GeForce RTX 3080 10GB, Gigabyte X570 AORUS Elite motherboard, 16GB of TeamGroup DDR4 RAM, a DarkFlash ATE 360 ARGB liquid cooler, a 256GB SSD for the operating system, a 480GB SSD for games, a 1TB hard drive, an EVGA 850W power supply, and a case with six RGB fans. I can test the computer before buying. Is the price reasonable, what would you value it at, and what should I inspect most carefully—especially the RTX 3080, power supply, cooler, and storage?

I’d only consider the deal after checking every RAM slot, USB port, storage drive, Ethernet connection, fan, RGB component, and display output. Use CrystalDiskInfo to inspect the SSD and hard-drive health, and run a CPU test such as Cinebench to make sure temperatures remain stable. If the GPU, PSU, drives, and cooler all check out, this is a solid purchase for the local market rather than an overpriced one.
The main weaknesses are the 16GB of RAM and limited solid-state storage. The hard drive should not add much value for modern games, and you’ll probably want a 1TB or 2TB NVMe SSD eventually. Upgrading to 32GB RAM would also make the system more comfortable for newer games and multitasking. The 10GB of VRAM is still usable, but maximum textures in some newer titles may require compromises.
Pay close attention to the exact PSU model rather than just the 850W rating. EVGA made both excellent and mediocre units. Ask how old it is and inspect the label. For the RTX 3080, run a demanding game or benchmark for at least 20–30 minutes and watch for crashes, artifacts, black screens, overheating, or unusual fan noise. Confirm its identity with GPU-Z and check that all display outputs work.
If everything works properly, $842 sounds like a fair-to-good price in Iraq. The RTX 3080 is still a strong 1440p card, and the 5800X remains capable for gaming and general use. Local pricing matters more than U.S. comparisons, particularly when newer parts are imported and cost more. I’d still try offering around $760–$800, but paying the full amount is reasonable if the system passes a thorough test.
The value also depends on how much that amount represents locally. A price that is manageable in one country can be excessive in another, even when component prices are similar.

Also check the liquid cooler carefully. Listen for pump rattling, look for leaks or residue, and monitor CPU temperatures during a sustained load. A failing older 360mm cooler could become an immediate replacement expense.
