Is trading my 9070 XT for a 5080 FE a scam?

I listed my 9070 XT for sale at its current market value, mostly just to see if there would be any interest. After receiving a lot of lowball offers, one person proposed a trade for their 5080 FE. This feels a little off to me. What steps can I take or what questions should I ask to determine if this is a scam?

If you’re leaning towards the trade, just be careful. Ask the seller to show you the card in person and verify its condition. It's a good idea to meet in a public place for the transaction, and maybe even test the card before finalizing the trade.

Trading a 5080 FE for a 9070 XT does seem pretty sketchy. The 5080 is worth way more than your card, so I'd definitely be cautious. It's like trading a new F-150 for a used Tacoma—something's not right here. You should really think twice before proceeding.

I'd say it sounds suspicious, especially since the 5080 is basically double the price of a 9070. If you do decide to go through with it, I recommend asking him to download GPU Z and take a screenshot of the card stats. You can then compare the clock speed, memory size, and other details to make sure it checks out.
