Hey there! Earlier this year, my PC stopped booting, so I did a budget upgrade—swapped my old 7700k for a 13100f, got a new motherboard, and added 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm still using my trusty 1080ti, but my girlfriend surprised me with a new 1440p OLED monitor as an early Christmas gift. Now I'm considering retiring my 1080ti and upgrading to a 5070 for around €470. I'm concerned if my current CPU will bottleneck the performance. I'd love to upgrade to a 5070ti or a 9070xt, but those are beyond my budget and would require a new PSU too. So, is it a good idea to upgrade to a 5070 for 470 bucks with my 13100f at 1440p?

Yeah, the bottleneck with that setup is going to be noticeable, especially at 1440p. You might not get the most out of the 5070 with a 13100f. Maybe look into CPU upgrades down the line?
Honestly, yeah the 13100f is a bit weak for a high-end card like the 5070, but it’s not completely terrible. You might not see massive performance leaps right away, but it could still be a worthy upgrade.
Have you noticed the 1080ti struggling with any games on that new monitor? If it’s performing okay, it might hold up longer than you think!
Sort of! Older games run fine, but I've had to lower settings on newer titles to get decent frame rates, like in Arc Raiders.

That’s good to know! I was worried about that. Perhaps a CPU upgrade should be the next step for me.
