I'm currently running a 3070 Ti alongside a 12700K and I'm experiencing performance issues in 4K, especially while playing FPS games like R6. With the recent graphical updates, my FPS often drops below 40, while it usually hovers around 70. I'm considering whether upgrading to a 5070 would significantly boost my FPS enough to justify the cost, or if I should go for the 5070 Ti or 5080 for a more noticeable improvement. I don't think my 12700K would bottleneck these newer GPUs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Switching to the 5070 will definitely improve your performance compared to the 3070 Ti, but for real 4K gaming, I’d lean towards the 5070 Ti if you can swing it. I wouldn't bother with the 5080 though; it seems like overkill unless you really need the extra power.
While the 5070 Ti will offer a solid upgrade, don’t forget about VRAM. The 5070 has only 12GB, which could limit you in the future for 4K gaming. The 9070 would be a much smarter investment in terms of longevity and performance.
Honestly, the 5070 isn't a true 4K card. You might manage some playable FPS with upscaling, but you’re going to have a much better experience with a 5070 Ti or even the 9070XT. If 4K is your goal, those would be solid options. If you have the budget, go for the 5080; that’s the best route for decent FPS at 4K.
