I'm considering upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 5 5600X to a 5700X3D, but I missed the opportunity to buy it at a lower price. Now, I can get it for around $260. I'm trying to keep my overall upgrade costs down since I also plan to update my GPU to either a 9000 series or 5000 series. My current setup includes a CPU (5600X), GPU (3070), and 32GB of RAM. Would this upgrade be a good investment?

Honestly, for $260, it might not be worth it. I'd recommend putting that money towards transitioning to AM5, like the 7700X or 9700X instead. If you're gaming at 1440p or higher, upgrading the GPU first could be more beneficial.

I want to stay on my current AM4 motherboard for now and still have the option to upgrade to a 9070XT or 5070TI without running into bottlenecks.
