I'm considering an upgrade from my current R9 3900X to an R5 7600X, especially since I spotted a deal on Amazon Prime for £127.99. It seems like a good upgrade on paper, and I think it could serve as a decent interim solution until AM6 is released. However, I'm wondering if the performance boost will be significant. I use my PC mainly for gaming, particularly Apex Legends, and do a bit of light work with some software. What do you think?

Keep in mind that if you go for the 7600X, you'll need a new motherboard and DDR5 RAM. This can add quite a bit to the total cost, so factor that in before making a decision.
You might want to compare the total cost of the 7600X setup with a new motherboard and RAM against just swapping in a Ryzen 7 5700X3D in your current setup. Generally, they offer similar performance in gaming, so think about what works best for your budget.
What mobo would you recommend for that?
