Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my CPU from an Intel i3-10100F to an AMD Ryzen 5 5500. Currently, I have an RTX 2060 and 32GB of RAM. My budget is pretty tight, so I'm planning to sell my current motherboard and CPU to fund this upgrade. Lately, I've been experiencing stutters in CPU-heavy games like CS:GO, Valorant, and Warzone, so I'm hoping this change will help. I also found a decent deal on an Intel Core i5-11400F. Given my limitations, do you think switching to the Ryzen 5 5500 is worth it?

I’m not sure that switching to the Ryzen 5 5500 makes sense for you. Have you considered looking for a used 10th or 11th gen i5 instead? Your games may not fully utilize the extra cores of a Ryzen chip, but an i5 could provide a better performance boost for your needs.

I mainly play PvP games that need strong CPU performance. Where I live, Intel parts can get really pricey, which is why I'm leaning towards Ryzen. Plus, my Intel motherboard only supports up to 10th gen, so it's limiting.
