I'm currently using a combination of a Ryzen 5800X and an RX6600 graphics card. I'm considering whether it would be worth upgrading to a 9060XT with 16GB of VRAM. Would the performance gains be substantial enough to justify the upgrade, or would it be a minimal improvement?

Honestly, the 9060XT is almost twice as fast and it comes with double the VRAM! Plus, you get FSR4 support. I’d say it's a no-brainer to make the leap from the RX6600!
Upgrading to the 9060XT is definitely a solid choice! I used to have a 5700X with an RX6600 and switching to the 9060XT was a game changer for me. I couldn't run Doom: Dark Ages smoothly at 1440p without the extra VRAM from the new card. If you're just gaming at 1080p, the RX6600 might still hold up, but for higher resolutions, the upgrade is worth it.
Absolutely worth it! I just upgraded from an Asus 6600XT to a Sapphire 9060XT 16GB, and I noticed around 80% more performance. The Sapphire card runs cooler and quieter, even though it uses about 30W more. Highly recommend!
Before you upgrade, consider your screen resolution and the specific games you’re playing. I've noticed that GPU upgrades sometimes offer only minor real-world improvements unless the jump is massive. If you're content with 1080p, you might not see dramatic changes except for a few demanding titles. If you can swing it financially, go for it, but just be prepared for possibly underwhelming results if you don't really crank up the settings.
I'm mainly gaming at 1080p for now, but I could see myself going to 1440p in the future. I’ve been having some troubles with games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance where it dips to around 45 fps on high settings, which can be frustrating.
You're going to be amazed by the difference! It really feels like a significant upgrade.
Sounds like I might have to take the plunge!

That’s what I’m thinking! Sounds like a great upgrade.
