I'm considering upgrading my gaming setup, which currently includes an RTX 5070 Ti alongside a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 32 GB DDR4-3600 RAM, and I game at 1440p with 165 Hz, possibly moving to 4K later. I'm curious about how much of an improvement I'd see if I switch to a Ryzen 9800X3D, DDR5 RAM, and a new motherboard. Is it really worth investing in this CPU and RAM upgrade?

For comparison, I switched from a 5800X3D to a 9800X3D and saw a performance boost from around 140 fps to about 220 fps in some titles at 1440p. But how much you gain can vary a lot by game.
You'll likely see an overall improvement of about 10-15% in gaming performance with the 9800X3D, but specific titles might show gains of anywhere from 1% to 35%.
